There are things we don’t talk about as a community because it’s shameful, it’s sad, and it’s painful. It’s hard to talk about times we’ve been targeted for being lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and/or queer. It’s hard to talk about the harassment, the bullying, and the violence we have faced, sometimes even from those we know and care about.
Theatre is a medium that allows for stories to be narrated, stories to be heard, and stories to be uplifted. Theatre provides an opportunity to express the embarrassing, the disheartening, and the painful experiences of those within marginalized groups.
Join us for a night of story sharing, community, dialogue, and ultimately a celebration of resilience of the LGBTQ+ community benefiting the Virginia Anti-Violence Project.
